Program Competitiveness
Level I ECNL: For players with significant soccer and competitive experience
Level II Pre-ECNL/Elite: For players with decent soccer experience and some competitive experience
Level III Comp Select: For players with some soccer experience, but little to no competitive experience
Juniors: For players with some soccer experience. Players who are looking for a more developmental program and pathway to the Competitive Program should register for this program.
Level IV Rec Plus: For players with some soccer experience. Players who are looking for a more developmental program and pathway to the Competitive Program should register for this program.
Level IV Rec: For players with little to no soccer experience. Players who are new to the sport should register for this program.

Mustang Soccer 2024 Regular Fall Season registration opens February 1st. The Early Bird discount ends February 29th. Season registration closes June 15th. Registration fees will increase after June 15th.

Any REC/REC PLUS and JUNIORS registrations made after the June 15th deadline will only be considered if there is space available. In addition, there may be a possibility that the player will be placed on a team with players who attend a different school.
The COMPETITIVE program requires a tryout. Players MUST register for tryouts and pay the tryout fee prior to attending. Families will have the option to pay the full $400 fee, or only $50. If you choose to pay only $50, you will be automatically charged the remaining $350 if your player makes a team. If you player does NOT make a team, you will NOT be charged the remaining $350.
- It is recommended that players who were a part of the Rec, Rec Plus or Juniors Programs for the 2023 season register for Rec, Rec Plus or Juniors for the 2024 season, and pay the $50 fee instead of the $400 fee, so they are secured a spot in their respective program. The club is not responsible for players who do not register for Rec, Rec Plus or Juniors and do not make a Competitive team which is why we recommend the directions above.

Mustang Soccer League Levels
Level I
ECNL: This level offers competitive teams for age groups U13 to U19
- Playing Level: Most Competitive
- Evaluations: Yes
- Coaching: Professional Mustang Soccer Coach/Trainer
- Season Begins: May or June
- Travel Expectations: Extensive - within and outside the Bay Area which may include out-of-state travel
- Registration and Team Fees: $3,300-4,500 (does not include uniforms, travel expenses, registration or program fees)
All Level I players MUST register and pay the Mustang registration fee, within one week of acceptance of the invitation, to play on a team.
Level II
Pre-ECNL, Elite I, Elite II: This level offers competitive teams/training for age groups U8 to U19

- Evaluations: Yes
- Coaching: Professional Mustang Soccer Coach/Trainer
- Season Begins: May or June
- Travel Expectations: Moderate to High - within and outside the Bay Area and may include out of Bay Area and out of state travel
- Registration and Team Fees: $4350-$6425 (does not include uniforms, travel expenses)
All Level II players MUST register and pay the Mustang registration fee, within one week of acceptance of the invitation, to play on a team.
Level III
Competitive Select: This level offers competitive teams for age groups U9 to U19

- Evaluations: Yes
- Coaching: Volunteer Head and Assistant Coach partnered with a professional Mustang Soccer trainer for weekly training
- Season Begins: June or July depending on the age group
- Travel Expectations: Limited - State Cup/League games and tournaments within the Bay Area & Sacramento Area
- Registration and Team Fees: $1,600 - $2,800 (does not include uniforms, travel expenses?
All Level III players MUST register and pay the Mustang registration fee, within one week of acceptance of the invitation, to play on a team.
Juniors Fall: This program offers training for age groups U7/U8
- Playing Level: Advanced Developmental Training
- Tryouts: No (preview is held in May to determine if a player's soccer skill level is developmentally ready for advanced training and if your child enjoys this different format)
- Coaching: Professional Mustang Soccer Coaches
- Season Begins: Early-August
- Season Ends: Mid-November
- Location: Sycamore Valley Park
- Travel Expectations: Limited (may participate in up to seven (7) play dates within the Tri-Valley area)
- There are no teams. Training focuses on drills and small-sided games.
Level IV
Rec Plus: This program offers recreational teams for age groups U9 to U12
- Playing Level: Advanced Recreational. The Rec Plus program is within the Recreational division and is for a player looking for more professional instruction.
- Tryouts: No. Open to all players of any skill level.
- Coaching: Volunteer Parent Coach with a professional Mustang Soccer trainer once a week.
- Practice/Training Starts: Early-August.
- Games Begin: Late-August
- Tournaments: Pre-season Jamboree, Saddleback and Dick King
- Season Ends: Early-November
- Travel Expectations: Limited to Danville and Alamo
- Team Formation: Based on the player's school and grade level

Recreational: This program offers recreational teams for age groups U5 to U19
- Playing Level: Recreational
- Tryouts: No. Open to all players of any skill level.
- Coaching: Volunteer Parent Coach

- Tournaments: Dick King for U9-U19
- Season Ends: Late-October
- Travel Expectations: Limited to Danville and Alamo. U14-U19 REC will travel within the Tri-Valley area

Discounts and Policies
Early Bird Discount: A $25 discount will be applied to your registration fee when registering by February 29th.
Refund Policy: Below is the refund policy to request the base registration fee (refund policy relating to Competitive Program & Team Fees can be found here).

⧫⧫Service Fee Definition: The non-refundable credit/debit card transaction fee collected by credit card companies for each purchase. Therefore when refunds are made, this fee will not be refunded.
Note: Full refunds will be issued to players who registered after June 15th if placement on a team does not occur.
Refund Request Procedure
Refund requests must be submitted by email to refunds@mustangsoccer.com. Please include the player’s name, age group, level, division & contact phone number.
IMPORTANT: Informing a coach or board member is not an acceptable substitute for submitting a written refund request.
Please note: Refund requests may take up to thirty (30) days to process. The date the refund request is received will be used as the Refund Request Submission Date.
