RECREATIONAL VOLUNTEER COACHING

 

Thank you for dedicating your valuable time to Mustang Soccer! Below are the mandatory steps to becoming a volunteer coach.

Step 1: Register Here

  • Select 'register volunteer staff' during the registration process.
  • REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 SEASON WILL OPEN FEBRUARY 1, 2026

Step 2: Download the Demosphere App

Step 3: Read Coach Handbook 

Step 4: Complete GotSport Items (CANNOT BE STARTED UNTIL JUNE 1, 2026)

  • Background Check
  • Intro to Safety
  • SafeSport
  • Fingerprints (Completed at the New Coach Meeting)
  • Note: If you complete these items before July 1st, you will have to do them over again because the system resets.

Step 5: Attend the Coach Meeting

  • July 16, 17, 23 & 24 6PM at MSC

    Note: Coaches MUST attend on of the days listed above. We will not have a Zoom option.

  • July 27-31 3-7PM - Equipment Pick-Up Week

Step 6: After you have attended the coaches meeting in July, you will send out a Welcome Message to your team.

The COACH HANDBOOK will have answers to all your questions.

Mustang will reimburse any Rec/ Rec Plus coaches who would like to attain their Grassroots License. Visit https://usclubsoccer.org/programs/coach-education/us-soccer-education/courses/ for more information.

WHAT DO COACHES GET?

Register between February 1-28

  • Three game balls, ball bag, pinnies, cones per team

  • Mustang coach shirt, Mustang coach sweatshirt, and Mustang coach hat

  • HEAD COACH ONLY: Free uniform kit for coach's player ($50 value)

  • HEAD COACH ONLY: Three exclusive clinic sessions at MSC with licensed training staff for coach's player

  • HEAD COACH ONLY: Select two Assistant Coaches

Register between March 1 - April 30

  • Three game balls, ball bag, pinnies, cones per team

  • Mustang coach shirt and Mustang coach hat

  • HEAD COACH ONLY: Three exclusive clinic sessions at MSC with licensed training staff for coach's player

Register between May 1 - June 30

  • Three game balls, ball bag, pinnies, cones per team

  • Mustang coach shirt and Mustang coach hat

Register between July 1 - August 1

  • Three game balls, ball bag, pinnies, cones per team

  • Mustang coach shirt

*Coaches must complete the requirements by July 25, 2026 to receive benefits
