Why Futsal?
Futsal is a fantastic tool for soccer development. It’s:
· Fast-paced and exciting for kids and adults.
· Great for developing ball control, agility, quick reflexes, and decision-making.
· Played in enclosed areas with low-bounce balls that promote close ball control and quicker reactions.
· A safer alternative to outdoor soccer, with no slide tackles or excessive contact allowed.
· A fun, simple, and creative game that leads to better soccer players overall.
Skill Development through Futsal
Futsal naturally develops key soccer skills such as:
· Ball mastery and control
· Quick passing and receiving
· Balance, agility, coordination, and motor skills
· Spatial awareness, perception, and decision-making
Because it's fast-paced and played in tight spaces, children quickly improve through repetition and play. Many goals are scored, and the game is free from complex rules like offsides—making it fun and engaging.
Henrique Pereira will oversee the implementation of Futsal coaching standards for the Mustang Soccer Winter Futsal program. All Mustang Futsal coaches will be required to be certified through Pro Five Academy in addition to the coaching support being provided by Henrique Pereira.
There will be additional coaches assisting in the training and coaching of games through the program.
