Mustang Soccer League recognizes Matthew Maxwell and Catherine Sandusky as the Male and Female Youth Referees of the Year for 2011.  Each has gone above and beyond in their commitment as youth referees.  We honor both of you in your final year of refereeing before your journey through college.  Click here for interviews from Catherine Sandusky and Matthew Maxwell.

Soccer balls were in the air at the Breezy B Juggle-A-Thon, a daylong fundraiser for 10-year-old Brianne "Breezy" Bochenek, a competitive player with Tri Valley SC Force. Breezy, a San Ramon resident, was diagnosed in October with osteosarcoma, a malignant tumor in her left thigh bone. The funds will be used to help with her medical expenses and also help other families dealing with osteosarcoma. Teams that participated were boys and girls teams ranging from 6-17 years old from Berkeley, Danville, Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton.

Since 2009 ECNL has been providing developmental experience for female youth soccer players with the goal of changing the landscape for elite female soccer players in the United States through innovative, player-centered programming (www.eliteclubsnationalleague.com). 

Mustang Soccer takes great pride in the quality of our adult leadership.  Being a volunteer in Mustang Soccer is a privilege, not a right.  The quality of the program and the safety of our youth members call for high-quality adult leaders.

Mustang Soccer screens coaches and adult volunteers.  Adult applications request background information and will be checked by the league before accepting an applicant for leadership.  While no current screening techniques exist that can identify every potential child abuser, screening can reduce the risk by increasing what we know about an applicant for a leadership position.  Click here to read entire policy.
